Access to talent is a key difficulty for employers large and small in Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
In an upcoming Wamda Research Lab report the findings amongst entrepreneurs hiring, at least, were mixed as most founders were satisfied with their local employees – once they’d found them – but said it was very difficult to attract good staff.
The Payfort infographic below hints at some of the causes: competition, not enough people with the right skills, and, crucially, that good staff demanded higher salaries than the employers could afford. This, however, could be reflective of Payfort’s survey sample.
