May is National Walking Month in the UK, when the Living Streets charity campaigns to create a walking nation. A few steps each day can make a big difference to everyone’s lives. Whether it’s walking the children to school, taking the dog for a runabout in the park or exploring destinations on foot, walking is free, healthy and good for the soul.

76% OF OVER 40S GET ABOUT BY WALKING WHILST ON HOLIDAY

This month 1,000 people aged 40+ were surveyed to discover their walking habits. The research reveals that the majority of over 40s choose walking as their preferred way to get about when on holiday, yet only one fifth (22%) have been on a self-guided or guided walking holiday.
